Good news for local businesses and now they can receive messages from their potential customers from the desktop as well.
Don’t panic, if you are not getting this feature in your Google My Business account, Google is still working on this feature and by early March, all businesses will have access to messaging on the web.
How it will look like in your GMB account
Google My Business account users have to opt into the service, which is super easy to do and can be reverted at any time with a simple click.
Business owners can also automate their initial response to their customers and all messages will be trackable and can be downloaded for future use.
Google Can Revoke Business Messaging
Make sure to respond to messages within 24 hours, though, or Google may revoke your access to the tool. If you are getting spam messages, you have the right mark as spam so that they don’t impact your response time.
